About the Gloucestershire Primary Mental Health Service
We are a small and dedicated team working to make mental health information and interventions more available to all.
Within Gloucestershire our work is driven by NSF Standard 2 (NSF, DoH '99) which states that any service user who contacts a primary health care team with a common mental health problem should:
1. have their mental health needs identified and assessed, and
2. be offered effective treatments, including referral to specialist services for further assessment, treatment and care if they require it.
We further consider it appropriate that people should have a choice of effective treatment/ care.
